I was given a graphic tablet that I thought worked with the wacom kernel module. Wacom Tablet Settings does not recognize it when it is connected to usb (tested on all available). KDE/systemsettings/inputdevices/GraphicTablet warns "No tablet device was found".

All that I can think of is that maybe:
1. the kernel module does not support this model yet
2. the kernel module is not part of the kernel build
3. X needs a config file

Any one have any ideas?

056a:00df, belonging to the new family of "3rd generation Bamboo Pen and Touch tablets", is apparently supported by kernel >= 3.3~ and needs a number of driver changes. I'll try to backport those to our next kernel update (3.2-18), feedback about success or failure would be very welcome.

Every function of my graphics tablet is working now with current kernel and modules, even the KDE widget is working 100%. The code boxes below are from my desktop. I started this post using my notebook and it works just as well. So, I thought I would try the desktop and report that also.

Thank you slh for you fantastic work.
