I have two laptops one with full aptosid and one with lite aptosid.
Both laptops have identical wvdial setups.
The problem is that the light KDE (aptosdid) connects but seems to have DNS (dhcp) problems. I tried dhclient ppp0 but without any success.
The laptop with full KDE connects correctly and it is very fast.

I need active internet connection in both laptops.
Is something that I can do to resolve the internet issues in the lite version of aptosid?
Thank you
snvv

Is "resolvconf" installed on one or both of the systems?

Do you just have DNS issues and can reach the net via IPs, e.g. http://217.79.182.161?

Yes. resolvconf is installed in both laptops and it is not a DNS issue. Rather, it is a chromium (my primary browser) issue, since iceweasel works, even though at a very low speed.
Tnank you
